GSE photovoltaic Counter updated

Data inserted on the number of plants, the installed power and the indicative yearly cumulative cost of the incentives for the current Feed-in-Tariff Scheme

(Rinnovabili.it) – The photovoltaic Counter, the display positioned on the home page of the GSE website to illustrate the growth of solar energy nationally, has been updated. The Provider has added details on the number of photovoltaic installations, installed power and the indicative yearly cumulative cost of the incentives for each one of the categories of plants that became operative from 27 August 2012, i.e. those comprised within the Fifth Feed-In Tariff Scheme and divided into “direct-access functioning plants” and “Registered plants”. Perhaps the most interesting point that emerges from a look at the Counter is that no plants have so far been created by the Public Administration, while there are 238 innovative integrated plants (1.9 MW total power), 102 replacing Eternit (1.5 MW), 3199 with a power of up to 12 kW (14.1 MW) and one concentration plant (981 kW).

GSE points out that the indicative yearly cumulative cost of the € 6.7 billion incentives is made up of:

  • The cost of the incentives recognised for the plants that became operative under the fifth Feed-In Tariff Scheme and with the previous incentive measures.
  • The cost of the incentives referring to the plants already in place but not yet operative, in the Registers of the Fourth and Fifth Feed-In Tariff Schemes.
